On Saturday, February 11th at 7:30, the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland features the Jo Henley Band. Jo Henley is a Boston-based band known for its exciting blend of rock, folk, country, and bluegrass, a combination their fans affectionately refer to as “new roots.” Jo Henley has released three CDs: Sad Songs and Alcohol, which spent close to six months on the national Americana charts; Inside Out, a collection of heart and road weary story-songs that move easily from folk to straight-ahead rock to honky-tonk to R&B, and their new album, Mohawk, produced after the band signed with Plymouth based Plimro Records. Formed by long time music collaborators Andy Campolieto and Ben Lee, along with drummer Mike Dingley and bassist Kent Stephens, Jo Henley conveys their passion for all kinds of American music in their “new roots” sound. Check them out at www.johenley.com . Between the band’s two sets, there will be an open mic and a raffle. Tickets are $7 at the door, children 12 and under are free. The address is Channing Unitarian Universalist Church, 45 Webster St., Rockland, MA, located just beside the post office.
